02 Types of data collected

We process personal data when we employ staff on assignments and when we offer our services.

A. Contact, order or quote request

Via our website, you can contact us. We will then ask for the following details:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Email address
  • Contact person
  • Phone number
  • Subject of your query
  • Clarification of your question

When you visit our website, we store all information that you provide when creating an account, placing an order, making an information request, requesting a quote, offering items, or posting a customer review.

B. Website visits and improving the website

To improve our website, we use Google Analytics. We collect:

  • The pages you visit
  • The number of website visitors
  • The duration of the website visit

These data will remain anonymous and will not be linked to your personal details.

C. Registration

If you register, we may collect the following personal data:

  • NAW data
  • Gender

D. Newsletter

We process personal data to be able to send out newsletters. We only add email addresses to our mailing list with your explicit consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time. The newsletter will keep you informed of developments at Montagebedrijf Gerrits and the market in which we operate.

Not all data is always used; this depends on the purpose of the processing. We do not process personal data for purposes other than those for which it was provided. If we do use data for another purpose, we will first explicitly ask for your consent.

03 Special and sensitive personal data

We do not process special personal data such as ethnic origin, race, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, sexual orientation, or criminal records. We only process data that customers and website visitors make available to us themselves.

We do not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16. Are you convinced that we have collected personal data from a minor without consent? Please contact us via info@gerritsbv.nl, we will delete that information. If we process data from someone under 16 years of age, that person must review this privacy policy with a parent or guardian.

04 Data processing

We understand processing as any use of your personal data: altering, storing, forwarding or deleting it. We use your data when you:

  • our websites or social media channels visits or uses
  • purchases or uses our services
  • signs up to our newsletter
  • services provided to us
  • contacts us via the contact form or reception
  • participates in our business events

And in addition for:

  • Relationship management
  • executing the command
  • enabling shipments by the carrier, to the correct location and at the agreed time
  • compliance with statutory obligations

We process your data primarily because it is necessary for the performance of the agreement. Without this processing, we cannot provide our services – consider making a phone call or sending an email which is necessary for our service provision.

We can also process data if there is a legitimate interest in doing so, for example, a business interest. In such cases, we always conduct a thorough assessment against your privacy interests.

05 Retention periods

The data collected via Google Analytics is anonymised and can therefore be stored indefinitely. We do not retain personal data for longer than necessary:

5 years Other data, from the moment of recording
4 weeks Application data, without permission to keep longer
1 year Application details, with your permission

If it is necessary within the framework of the agreement, we will store data for longer. We can share application data with companies that may wish to hire you or enter into an employment contract with you.

06 Recipients of personal data

For the processing of personal data, we use third parties who sometimes gain access to your data. We make agreements with these processors regarding the instructions and security standards they must adhere to. We record this in a processor agreement.

We do not pass your data on to countries outside the EU, unless we are obliged to do so by law or court order.

07 Data protection

We respect the rights and obligations arising from the General Data Protection Regulation and take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access to your data. These include updates, virus scanners, and other security measures.

Our website is secured with an SSL certificate. This means that data is sent encrypted between your browser and our website and cannot be intercepted. If we engage (sub-)processors, we oblige them to work according to the same security standards.

As a data subject, you have the following rights:
